This is no accident since Khakum Wood was designed as the first ever residential community in the United States by renowned landscape architect, Olmsted back in the 1930’s.  Olmstead is most known for the design of Central Park in New York City.

Cameras and a security guard provide safety and security 24/7.  Hassles like snow removal including private driveways and walkways are handled by the Association, as is weekly refuse and recycling pick up. It’s not surprising that most residents previously owned property near Khakum before jumping at an opportunity to live within it.
